There are two main types of charging cables for new energy vehicles: AC charging cables and
DC charging cables. AC charging cables are suitable for household power sources and AC charging stations,
providing slow charging for new energy vehicles, while DC charging cables are suitable for DC charging
stations, providing fast charging for new energy vehicles.

- Cable Length
  
  The length of the charging cable should be selected according to actual needs. Generally speaking, when used in households, the length of the cable should be within 3 meters, while the length of the cable used for public charging stations should be determined according to the specific situation, usually longer to meet the charging needs of different locations.
- Electrical material
  
  The material of the charging cable should have characteristics such as high temperature resistance, cold resistance, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. Commonly used materials include copper, aluminum, aluminum alloy, etc. Among them, copper cables have good conductivity, aluminum cables are lightweight, and aluminum alloy cables have both advantages.
- Electrical protection
  
  The outer layer of the charging cable should have protective functions to protect the internal wires from damage and improve their service life. Common protective measures include rubber protective sleeves, metal pipe sheaths, wear-resistant materials, etc.
- Electrical certification
  
  To ensure the safety and reliability of charging cables, they should pass relevant certification standards, such as CE certification, UL certification, etc. These certifications will ensure that the design, manufacturing, and testing of cables comply with relevant regulations and standards, ensuring safe use.
